August 8th Weekly Update

Wow! It’s been a hot minute since we had a weekly update. 4 litters on the ground at one time definitely takes up most of our time! Nevertheless, we love writing these updates to keep all our clients in the loop on our current & future litters. So much happens week to week, and it’s so fun to see the changes happening before our eyes.

First order of business - Miss Jet Ski! Jet Ski is an 11 week old puppy from our litter with Willow & Nash. She’s an absolute sweetheart and was a hit at our vets office. Everyone commented on how calm, gentle and submissive she was. She received a full exam by our vet and her second parvo/distemper vaccine. She’s available to head home anytime now and would love to find a family, but if not, we have a plan in place. We’re starting formal training with her and beginning her integration into our family and our personal dogs. She’s smart as a whip and should take every new experience in stride! She’s available at any time and her price will increase as her training advances.

Next on the list is Maple. We bred Maple and Nash about 4 1/2 weeks ago. We had our ultrasound appointment on Thursday and it was confirmed that Maple is in fact not pregnant. We were so sad to hear it, as we planned everything perfectly. Maple has always had some difficulty getting pregnant and maintaining a pregnancy, and we are deciding how we want to proceed with her in our program. She’s the best mom and an incredible dog. I know if we decide to retire her early, she will have zero issue finding a spectacular retirement home!

Onto some fun and good news, we had lots of puppies placed this week! Cornbread, Buck, Cookout, and Canoe all found wonderful homes. Cornbread will be heading to Oceanside, California, Buck is heading to California, Cookout went home to Denver, Colorado, and Canoe will be heading home to New Mexico this weekend. We absolutely love meeting new families and don’t mind driving where we need to in order to get our puppies in wonderful homes.

A long awaited update on our Woodland Creatures Litter! Molly and Huxley (outside stud) had a litter of 8 beautiful Mini Multigen Bernedoodle puppies in late June. They are now 6 weeks old and the cutest things I’ve ever seen! They are running around, causing a ruckus and generally having a rowdy fun time. They’re weaning from Molly and starting to eat mostly soft food. We’re giving baths today, taking new photos and giving their 2nd NeoPar vaccine. Stay tuned to our instagram to see their new photos this weekend!

Next - a short update on our remaining Ready To Go Home puppies. We currently have -

  • One 11 Week Old F1 Goldendoodle Girl (Jet Ski)

  • Three 9 Week Old F1 Goldendoodles | 2 Boys, 1 Girl

  • Three 9 Week Old F1B Bernedoodles | 1 Boy, 2 Girls

These puppies are ready to head home as early as today, are UTD on shots and have had a full and thorough exam by our vet.

And as for us personally, we are constantly cleaning! 4 litters requires almost constant cleaning, laundry and feeding. It’s slowly starting to taper off as our 3 litters surpass 8 weeks and head to their forever homes, but our youngest litter keeps us on our toes!

We are making some big changes to our home in terms of puppy raising and we are so excited! Not 100% sure on our exact plans but starting to paint, redo flooring and renovate the backyard have all been big things on our list for a long time and we finally have the time to work through it.

We are so thankful so many of our puppies have found wonderful families, and we look forward to updates for years to come.
