BIG UPDATES

Wow! What a week we’ve had!

On May 2nd we went in for our ultrasounds for Gracie and Stella. We were so excited because we just recently got referred to a new ultrasound technician that is a wizard at reading and scanning, plus she gives a very accurate puppy count! Normally when we get an ultrasound it’s simply to confirm there are puppies and that they have heartbeats, getting an accurate puppy count is a whole new level of fun!

Our first girl to get scanned was Gracie. It took a few moments of coaxing, but eventually she did lay down so we could take a look. She was scanned over and counted, and she has 9 sweet puppies cooking! Very similar to the amount she had during her last litter (7), and we couldn’t be more thrilled to meet them. Gracie was bred with an outside stud this time around. He’s an F1 Bernedoodle, making their puppies F1B Bernedoodles. They will shed much less, and have some fun colors too! May 30th is her rough due-date and it can’t come soon enough!

Next up was Stella, she took absolutely no time to get comfortable. She’s a sweet, friendly girl that’s comfortable almost anywhere. Once she got into position and our tech got to scanning we were shocked. I think she re-counted her 6 or 7 times over just to make sure. Stella scanned with 12 puppies! And with that many, there’s a chance one may have been missed! I truly couldn’t believe it, Stell gave birth to 9 puppies on her last litter so 12 is a massive jump! With this knowledge we’re taking the necessary steps in order to keep her healthy, well-fed and happy. She gets extra food, wet food, lots of nourishing homecooked toppings, and tons of snuggle time. Stella was bred with our stud Nash again, making a litter of F1 Goldendoodles in Red/Apricot/Cream colors. Her last litter was such a hit, we expect the same for this litter!

With all this knowledge in hand, we are opening up our waitlists for both of these litters. We plan on holding back a male from Gracie’s litter to become a stud for our program, and possibly a female from Stella’s litter to become a future mom. We will be looking for guardian homes for both of these puppies. If you live within 1 hour from Maricopa & are interested in finding out more about this, send me an email at desertridgedoodles@gmail.com. Additionally, if you’d like to get on the waitlist for either of these litters, please reach out so I can get a Deposit Agreement sent over to you. We are so excited to meet these puppies, but much more excited to form new connections with everyone we meet during this process. I love staying in touch and getting updates, and some past clients have turned into wonderful friends!
